Step 1: The sync component queries the directory for user information and sends the results to emPower servers.
Step 2: The emPower servers review the information sent and update the information with the LMS.
How the emPower ADI sync tool works:
- If a user has an email address that matches an existing user account, then that LMS user account becomes AD-managed.
- If a user is not found in the LMS, then an AD-managed user is created.
- After all users have been processed, any LMS user that has not become AD-managed will be archived.
Note: The tool uses proxy addresses by default.
