What are question categories?

A question category can contain individual questions. They can be found by clicking the Quizzes in the right hand tab, and then selecting Question Categories.12.png

What are question categories?

Question categories are like a folder of questions. Questions are stored in these categories just like files are stored in a folder.

When you print a test reports, user responses are categorized as per the quiz categories.

Tip: Creating question categories is a good practice. It is better than keeping all your questions in one big list in a quiz. The quiz categorization is a powerful feature when combined with shuffle questions. The quiz would than select equal number of questions from all the categories.

How to create and manage a category?

To create a category:

  1. Click the Add Quiz Questions Category button tab in the right top corner of the screen.category_2.png
  2. Add the category.
  3. Click Save.Category_4.png

To edit a category:

  1. Click the category.Category_3.pngThis would take you to the Edit tab.
  2. Edit the category name.
  3. Click Save.Category_6.png

 To delete a category:

  1. Click the categoryCategory_3.pngThis would take you the Edit tab.
  2. Click the Actions drop-down in the right top corner of the screen.
  3. Select Delete Quiz Questions Categoriescategory_5.png
  4. Confirm your action.
  5. Click Save.

How to Categorize questions

The quiz category drop-down has been added to the Questions tab. To add or change a category of a question. 

  1. Goto the quiz.
  2. Open the question.Category_7.png
  3. Select the category from the drop-down. Category_8.png
  4. When done, click Save.
